Walking Float

Women of Bedford will be participating in this year’s Bedford River Festivals parade on Sunday 15th July, with a ‘Walking Float’.  Our float will be made up of at least 100 women and girls in costumes and the Women of Bedford sash to represent each decade of the last 100 years.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate Bedford’s amazing women and raise awareness of the Women in Bedford project – The Gift, which aims to install a bronze statue of Amy Walmsley on The Embankment.
